Meditation just after waking up seems to be a bad idea to me today. While meditating immediately after waking up, I felt as if I will sleep immediately. In fact, I realized I was dozing off a few minutes into meditation. I did not use any music to meditate.

I believe that it is better if you wake up and spend a few minutes to just freshen up to start meditating. This is because I feel that when you wake up, you are already sleepy. If you don't wake up properly, you are more likely to doze off.

Moreover, I believe that meditation is a conscious process where you train your mind to be active. If your mind is already in the sleep state, it isn't going to help you to meditate effectively. Of course, I might be wrong, but because of the experience, I believe it is better to be a little awake before starting meditation.
